I appreciate your blog, I'm glad I found it. As a daughter, relative, and friend of so many who've battled cancer, it sickens me what goes on with the pink campaign. Every October I cringe when it's in our face all month. I agree with you on so many levels. Keep up the good work, and here's to HEALTH!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7463368755393439086.post-18348058024634911442010-12-16T12:50:41.250-06:002010-12-16T12:50:41.250-06:00Molly and Becky - thanks for sharing your thoughts...Molly and Becky - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, and the article from the Huffington Post, how disturbing a piece, and how important for all of us to hear about this. First the initial discussion about pink ribbons and labels and the brand association--it bothers the heck out of me because my kid had cancer, now he doesn't, and there's no widely supported ribbon to demonstrate that we're not all better yet even though his hair is back and he has put on weight.

But more importantly, there are countless quests in the food industry AGAINST removing hormones from milk and toxic chemicals from packaging. Why? It's clearly more profitable to treat diseases and afflictions than it is to promote good health and prevent illness.

Doesn't it just drive you crazy? My mother had cancer that wasn't breast cancer and she's really not all that hip to the whole girl-power survivor thing either.Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13774558034963099447noreply@blogger.com
